After graduating from New York University with a degree in Education, I taught in Special Education for over 30 years, giving me the opportunity to work with pre-school to college age students, with and without disabilities. This allowed me to acquire many different techniques for working with both children and adults. It was my wish to continue working with children and adults in an environment where I can actively make a difference in their life. Working as a Vision Therapist at Child and Family Vision Center allows me to enjoy the excitement and reward of witnessing the benefits that Vision Therapy can offer both to a young learner’s experience, as well as those regaining their abilities after a stroke or traumatic brain injury. Vision therapy give me the opportunity to help eliminate vision issues which might be holding them back from achieving their full potential and goals.
Having dealt with many types learning and attention issues, I have a niche for finding creative ways to accommodate vision therapy activities for my patients. My goal has always been to help my patients reach their goals, in a supportive space and have fun while doing it!
